In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Philadelphia; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Pennsylvania are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 2–11 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (215) 606-1899. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. To enter, you go up an elevator and when you step in it’s wood everywhere! Even the bathrooms lol. The place looked awesome and the produce section where you can get veggies to add to your broth had a lot of options from quail eggs to cabbage to sausages. You order meats through the ipad and it came pretty quickly. Def worth going here. Also, all drinks are included in the price and you can get as many from the fridge as you want.

Really enjoyed this kungfu hot pot place! The broth was flavorful, ingredients were fresh, and there were so many options to choose from. The meat quality was surprisingly good, and the self-serve sauce bar was a huge plus. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable.

Kungfu Hotpot is a really nice spot for hotpot, especially if you are looking for something quick, satisfying, and flavorful. Parking in the area might be a little risky or difficult depending on the time, but it is still manageable since you can usually park nearby and walk a little bit. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, which makes the dining experience feel much better. I also really like that they offer free different kinds of Asian drinks and sodas. It adds a nice touch and makes the buffet feel even more worth it. The food itself is fresh and enjoyable. The meat tasted fresh, the soup was delicious, and everything came out fast, so you do not have to wait too long to start eating. It has a fast buffet style, which is perfect when you are hungry and want something convenient but still good quality. The staff were also friendly and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and welcoming. Overall, this is a great place for fresh meat, tasty soup, good drinks, and a clean hotpot buffet experience. Definitely worth trying.

My friends and I were just wandering about the cold streets of Philly and we're starving until we chanced upon the sign of KUNG FU HOTPOT so we went in without hesitation! And boyyyyy were we in for a treat! Mala soupbase is amazing and must try! Spicy enough to leave you sweating yet not too numbing that you can't taste your food! Perfect to indulge in during winter. They have a decent selection of none spicy soup bases too! Good selection of drinks to pair with as well! With your favourite Chinese spread! (wang lao ji during the meal, wang zai niu nai after!) They have cute little booths too and the decor brings you back to china! Friendly service staff and they take your coats for you so it doesn't smell! Good value for money. 10/10 would come again!
